Essential Job Functions:

Men's Locker Room Attendant

Full-Time

Woodside is actively seeking a full-time Men’s Locker Room Attendant.

Working primarily independently, but under the direction of the Housekeeping Manager, this position is responsible for consistently maintaining a clean, sanitary and comfortable environment for all men’s locker room areas within Woodside Club properties.

Duties /Responsibilities:
• Able to provide excellent customer service to those individuals utilizing the men’s locker room with the ability to interact professionally at all times
• Keeps all interior men’s locker room areas clean and free of dirt, debris or litter. This includes but is not limited to; sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning fixtures, wiping down glass surfaces, cleaning showers, removing soiled towels, cleaning restrooms, saunas and related areas, operating mchanical cleaning equipment and emptying trash containers, etc.
• Works to anticipate the needs of the members/patrons by preparing the locker room for high utilization times – making sure there is plenty of stock of clean towels, water has ice and is full and ready for dispensing, etc.
• Responsible for maintaining all necessary supplies for restrooms, showers, etc. and communicating any supply needs to the Housekeeping Manager
• Documents problem areas and/or property damage within the men’s locker room and immediately notifies the Housekeeping Manager
• Prioritizes any deep cleaning that may be required and responsible for neat and orderly presentation of all storage areas
• Completes a weekly walk of common areas with the Housekeeping Manager or Facilities Director
• Maintains consistent and clear communication with Housekeeping Manager and all other housekeeping staff
• Responsible for thorough understanding of Club policies and procedures regarding locker room etiquette, i.e., no cell phone use, etc.
• Must wear required uniform at all time to ensure a professional image
• Must present a courteous attitude and a timely response to any requests
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager

Job Standards:
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

Education/Experience:
• Must be at least 18 years old
• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-2 years’ experience housekeeping in a country club or other similar facility is preferred

Skills:
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
• Computer literate – ability to use HRIS/payroll system for scheduling/time-keeping
• Must be able to communicate well to members/patrons in English, Spanish is beneficial
• Excellent communication skills, both interpersonal
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and strong organizational skills
• Demonstrates attention to detail and thoroughness in work habits

Knowledge:
• Understanding of various cleaning and sanitation products for commercial and residential properties

Sous Chef

Full-Time Cook

Under the direction of the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef is responsible for the overall operations for back of the house and kitchen area of Woodside KC to create the best dining experience for members. This includes, but is not limited to food preparation, purchasing, receiving, training, and maintenance of quality standards, safety, sanitation and cleanliness.

Responsibilities & Duties:
• Primarily works shifts that are opposite to that of the Executive Chef with overlap
• Manage and train kitchen staff including line cooks, food runners and dish staff, including training on safe use of all kitchen equipment and utensils
• Required to be able to react and resolve emergency issues that may arise and anticipate and control problematic situations as they occur
• Certification in food management and safety, preferably ANSI-CFP Certified — comply with all health and safety regulations as governed by the State of Kansas, Johnson County and the City of Westwood
• Comply with and enforce all sanitation and safety regulations; this includes proper disposal of food waste and ensuring that the kitchen and all such equipment is clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following Woodside’s preventative maintenance measures
• Ensure all recipes are followed and that food and plate presentations are prepared and served within Woodside and Chef Nick’s specifications and commitment to quality
• Ensure that the kitchen production is always operating in a timely manner, which will require working the line and/or expo particularly during peak service hours – lead by example
• Responsible for ordering supplies and food products and accurately verifying receipts of those goods, as well as stocking inventory appropriately. All deliveries are to be received in accordance with Woodside’s receiving policies and procedures
• Control food cost and usage by following proper requisition of products from storage areas, inventory maintenance procedures, following standard recipes and waste control procedures, including verifying that all food holding areas are being kept at the appropriate refrigeration temperatures as required by law
• Assign Staff daily work stations and manage breaks as needed
• Communicate any maintenance issues or areas for improvement to Executive Chef
• Complete all other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef

Education/Experience:
• Minimum 4 years in a professional kitchen in a supervisory position
• A culinary degree is strongly preferred, but not required if equivalent experience
• Basic math and computer skills (Microsoft, Excel, Word, Outlook, POS systems)
• Proficient knowledge of kitchen equipment and knife skills
• Strong working knowledge of restaurant operations and food preparations
• Professional appearance and demeanor, and reliable

Summary Description:
Earthbar employees are responsible for preparing smoothies and other drinks based on specifically designed healthy recipes. The employees are also required to efficiently operate a point of sale (POS) system, cleaning in and around the Earthbar area, restocking products and selling supplements. The employees should have a personal interest in health, fitness and/or wellness to properly educate our members and represent the Earthbar brand within the Woodside philosophy.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Must be Serv-Safe Ceritified – always monitoring and complying with sanitation and safety regulations, this includes proper disposal of food waste and ensuring that the Earthbar equipment is clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following Woodside’s preventative maintenance measures
• Control food cost and usage by following proper product storage procedures, inventory maintenance procedures, following standard recipes, and waste control procedures including verifying that all food holding areas are being kept at the appropriate refrigeration temperatures as required by law.
• Maintaining cleanliness of the Earthbar area and surrounding seating and dining area at all times
• Must provide superior customer service and attention to detail to incorporate the correct recipes and make adjustments for members with special requests
• Must always prepare quality drinks and smoothies that are consistent for members and staff
• Ensure all recipes, drink preparations are served within Woodside’s specifications and commitment to quality
• Follow up on customer orders with the kitchen to ensure timely delivery of food and related items
• May at times be asked to support special events within Club
• Communicate with management to determine inventory needs and/or equipment maintenance
