Woodside Personal Training is made up of a team of full-time, super healthy, fun-loving, professional and caring individuals who are fiercely devoted to making their clients’ goals a reality.

I find that a “whole” approach to fitness is a sustainable way for my clients to reach their goals. Developing fitness isn’t limited to the gym – it starts in your mind, in the food you eat, and ends with a physical result that can go beyond what you imagined. I love witnessing people become the best version of themselves.

To decompress, I love walking my dog, listening to podcasts and dinner with friends. I’m always exploring new healthy recipes, although working hard deserves a little indulgence. (Red wine, chocolate, IPA’s and Spin pizza) When I’m not biking or rushing to a yoga class, my ideal Sunday is spent reading magazines with a cup of tea.

I work under the philosophy that every body is different, and therefore everyone should train to their specific needs. My goal as a trainer is to provide individualized programs that work with where my clients are currently. I enjoy working with individuals of any age or ability, whether their goal is to build stability, increase mobility, strength, endurance, sports specific training, rehabilitation or fat loss. Personal Training allows me to meet a lot of amazing people and create relationships beyond the gym floor.

My favorite thing in the world to do is TRAVEL! I love exploring new places and cultures. My hobbies include: hiking, mountain biking, camping, golf, snowboarding, watching Netflix and going out to eat.

Years of Experience: 6 years as a personal trainer, served 4 years in the Australian Army Infantry Corps while leading group fitness programs for the Australian Army.

I believe training isn’t about what I can do for myself, it’s about what I can do for my clients. As a personal trainer, I love the part I get to play in helping people discover what they are truly capable of. Strength is the foundation of all fitness related goals, but it’s important to remember that training with intention and consistency is greater than training for intensity alone. This is a common misconception out there that I work to overcome every day.
My personal interests include a lot of things: fitness (of course), movies, motorcycles, cars, scotch, video games, watching The Bachelor, and family!

My passion for training comes from the desire to make a positive difference in someone’s life. I not only get to build lasting relationships with my clients, but I get to help them transform their bodies, increase their self-confidence and create an environment where they can learn to love themselves inside and out.

It’s true that every body is different! So, depending on a person’s age, fitness level and what their goals are, my job is to customize every session to fit. With my clients, usually the main focus is on weight loss, strength training, conditioning, increasing flexibility and improving balance.

My personal hobbies include yoga, being outside with my dog and traveling to new and faraway places.

What I love most about personal training is that I get to be a positive influence in someone’s health and help improve their quality of life. Plus, I get to talk about exercise and food every day! I want to change the way we approach fitness and health by giving attention to a specific quality of movement, and the foods that fuel our bodies. Exercise and food are the key components that determine our health.

My personal interests include cooking healthy and sustainable dishes. I also enjoy playing and coaching a local Ultimate Frisbee team, after finishing a college Ultimate career and contract coaching college Ultimate teams. I really enjoy coaching athletes to reach their goals.

What I love most about training is the mental benefits that I can give my clients by taking care of their body from the inside out. I believe that everyone should practice self-love. My passion lies within challenging the body and mind through fitness. Every day I try to be the best version of myself and I do that best through being active and living a healthy lifestyle. Being a trainer is the best outlet for that, and I strive to help others become more confident with themselves and to have fun while doing it. Feeling confident in yourself is the first step to raising self-esteem. A huge motivator for me is getting my clients to achieve their goals, whether it may be aesthetic or performance-based.

Personally, my favorite place on earth is the beach. I am a huge foodie and love the outdoors. Music and running are my favorite duo. Most of my personal time is devoted to my greatest supporters; my family and friends.

First and foremost, I believe training should be fun. If my clients don’t enjoy it, there’s no way they’ll stick with it. I like to break it down with clients why a certain exercise or program is important so they understand it, making them feel empowered to find success. I love seeing my clients progress to levels of fitness they didn’t think they could achieve. When someone is told that their knees are shot and will never run again; but they DO run again…that’s exciting! All because of hard work and dedication to themselves through training. My personal interests include a lot of things. I enjoy soccer, trail running, computers, reading, mountain biking and generally anything outdoors (when it’s warm).

It’s important as a trainer to meet my clients where they currently are, and from there we work to build a strong foundation and then drive toward their personal goals. Overcoming obstacles is what we do as human beings, having guidance and inspiration along the way is integral to our success.

My job is so rewarding, because I get to do such important work with such interesting people, both my clients and my co-workers hold my fascination. It’s the best.

In my personal time I enjoy maintaining strong relationships with my kids, playing guitar and investing in my own personal conditioning.

We only get one body, and we need to move it and treat it well! I want to be an avenue to help people work on strength, mobility and balance – and to work on who they are as a person. I love personal training because it is just that – personal.

I love getting to work with so many different ages and types of people, and making them all feel strong – and watching the pride that my clients have in their bodies after working out. I also love being able to help people find relief with pain. This can be so debilitating, not only physically but mentally as well.

Personally, I love being outside, hiking with my dogs and boyfriend, or going to the lake and doing water sports. I’m happiest in the mountains, camping, exploring, and enjoying the fresh air. I also enjoy singing and playing guitar.

My personal philosophy that drives my training approach is simply, “Life is movement.” Everyday people are constantly moving, sitting, standing, walking, running, twisting, turning, pushing, pulling. My job is to show them how to move correctly so they can keep moving without getting injured, and do some fun things along the way – play a sport better than before, run faster than ever – whatever is important to them. This job is so rewarding because of the people I get to meet, and how I get to help them reach their goals

I believe that consistency is the most important driver of good health and fitness, and progress is its most powerful motivator. Helping my client’s take control of these principles to earn steady progress towards their goals is my priority as a trainer. By doing so we can also create not just a routine, but a rewarding lifestyle that you genuinely want to sustain long term.

I love that fitness can be used as a tool to better yourself on any level, within any domain. Exercise is physical in nature but can be just as effective at improving mental, emotional, and social well-being as well. Helping clients to realize THEY are in control of these changes is an experience that is incredibly unique to personal training.

Outside the gym I enjoy music, video games, and traveling. Most importantly if you want to talk college football then I’m your guy.
