Woodside Training Institute
What makes our trainers represent the best in the industry? Simply put, the education they receive at the Woodside Training Institute (WTI). Its comprehensive programming mix, which includes private training, small-group training and group-exercise programs, builds their skills to the highest level. Only then can they deliver the top-tier Woodside programs members have come to expect.

In addition, all Woodside fitness professionals are trained under the guidelines established by our Strategic Educational Partners. They have the expertise and experience to satisfy your individual goals and objectives. Efficiently. Effectively. Because your time – and your health – are equally precious.

WTI Training Modalities
Specific areas of fitness are emphasized through coursework – creating highly specialized, knowledgeable professionals.

Sports Performance Specialist
These professionals are experts in all aspects of athletic training – including speed, agility, strength and power – and are capable of taking even the seasoned athlete to a new level of performance.

Corrective Exercise/Post Rehab Specialist
These professionals are equipped with the advanced knowledge needed to aid clients who are suffering from musculoskeletal impairments, imbalances or post-rehab concerns. They focus on helping and preventing instability issues, back and joint pain and posture issues as well as post-surgery injuries.

Lifestyle, Weight Management & Wellness Specialist
These professionals are trained to recognize the psychological aspects of behavioral change, weight management and exercise – from correcting bad eating habits and exercise patterns by uncovering their causes to designing specialized programming for those with cardiovascular disease, metabolic syndrome, Type 2 diabetes and a variety of orthopedic issues.

The Woodside Training Institute was created to address the global push toward a more educated, medically oriented Personal Trainer and Group Instructor. This “new breed” is a sought after professional specializing in Performance, Corrective Exercise, Lifestyle Management, or all of these.

Originally, the WTI was created specifically for Woodside Private Trainers. This in-house education coupled with a Woodside Trainer’s already impressive credentials produced some of the best Private Trainers in the city. Woodside has now opened up our classes to everyone.

The Curriculum for the WTI was built around the most common needs for Fitness Professionals.
