Maximize your efforts by taking advantage of our comprehensive lab testing. Using the most advanced health testing methods available, we can identify issues before they become problems. And solutions that will help you get more out of your workout – and your life.
ALCAT TESTING
Having a healthy gut is key to good health. We are not what we eat but rather, what we absorb, and if we want to 'let food be our medicine' then good gastrointestinal tract function is crucial. The ALCAT test measures harmful immune reactions induced by commonly encountered foods, additives and environmental chemicals. Using just a small amount of blood, the ALCAT test can accurately detect a cellular response to over 250 different items. The ALCAT test may help you: identify harmful foods, even normally 'healthy' foods that are not good for you, improve metabolic function, decrease chronic inflammation, a major cause of premature aging, reach your goal weight and achieve wellness through customized nutrition
Cardiovascular Profile - Lipoprotein Particle Profile Test
Up to 50% of those who have suffered heart attacks had 'normal' cholesterol levels. Cholesterol testing has historically been used as the standard indicator for cardiovascular disease classified as HDL (good) or LDL (bad). However, it is actually the lipoprotein particles that carry the cholesterol throughout the body, not necessarily the cholesterol within them, that are responsible for key steps in plaque production and the resulting development of cardiovascular disease. Now there is an advanced cholesterol testing technology which accurately measures both the density and number of lipoprotein particles.
Micronutrient Test
The Micronutrient Test assesses our vitamin, mineral and antioxidant deficiencies on the cellular level. This unique testing provides you with individualized results to determine what nutrients your body needs to reduce your risk of chronic disease and live a healthier life.
Hormone Levels Test
Adequate levels and an appropriate balance of hormones (estrone, estradiol, estriol, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA, cortisol, melatonin) are necessary for maintaining optimum health and well being in both females and males. This family of hormones supports a wide range of essential physiological functions. Variations in these hormones play a large role in the changes seen in life cycle events such as aging.
Neurotransmitter Profiles
The human nervous system is one of the most complex systems in nature. It is responsible for coordinating thousands of processes, from muscle contraction to crying. The center of the nervous system is the brain, which contains 100 billion specialized cells called neurons. The nervous system also contains very important chemical messengers called neurotransmitters. The brain uses neurotransmitters to tell your heart to beat, your lungs to breathe and your stomach to digest. Neurotransmitters are also necessary for thought processes, emotions and other essential body functions including sleep, energy and fear. Imbalances in neurotransmitters levels can lead to: feelings of sadness & anxiousness, disrupted sleep, fatigue, behavioral problems & foggy thinking & headaches
