Competition is central to our society – whether in business or in tennis. You wouldn’t want your child to enter the business world unprepared, then why would you allow your child to set foot on the tennis court without receiving the best training by the highest qualified instructors?
Woodside Tennis Academy believes in providing every player the opportunity to play college tennis. We understand the training demands of a determined, committed athlete. We also understand that it’s necessary to achieve a balance between academics, competition and everyday life. This balance will only be achieved with the shared responsibility, effort and discipline between player, coach and parents. Woodside Tennis Academy teaches the skills and dedication needed to become power players in college play and beyond.
Not only do we have more than eighteen years experience in preparing aspiring juniors to become competitive players, we’ve also seen the results of our dedication to excellence. Players trained at Woodside Tennis Academy have won championships nationally, statewide and inter-high school as well as the Heart of America Championship – in addition to receiving scholarships to more than 30 national colleges and universities.
Woodside Tennis Academy offers year-round training with emphasis placed on specialized technical, tactical, situational and mental toughness through live and dead ball drilling. We encourage an open stream of communication between players, coaches and parents, and interaction with collegiate coaches. To ready players for intense competition, we tailor training to USTA National, Missouri Valley and Heart of America Tournaments. Not only that, but we show our commitment to Junior Tennis by hosting 20 USTA, Missouri Valley and Heart of America-sanctioned tournaments.
