Abbi Miller runs her own Holistic Nutrition and Yoga brand. She is obsessed with kale, juicy adventure and nerding out on all things healthy. Her work helps guide people with healthy food, love their bodies and feel foxy! She can be found standing on her head, getting her passport stamped, or blogging about all things delicious.
AnnaMarie started practicing yoga in 2009 and fell in love with the soft and non-competitive aspect of it. Eventually her drive to learn more led to her first teacher training in 2012. Her style is best described as Vinyasa and her classes are ever evolving and changing. She tries to inspire people with challenging sequences partnered with a gentle attitude. Some other hobbies of AnneMarie’s are hiking, cycling, rock climbing and reading. She loves ethnic foods and traveling. Her mantra is that every day is more complete if you make a new friend.
Growing up a gymnast and dancer, Amy has always had a love for music, movement, and anything creative. She completed Level 1 teacher training through Amazing Yoga in Costa Rica in 2013, followed by Level 2 in Tulum, Mexico, in February 2014. She has studied with Karen and Sean Conley, Sid McNairy, and Lindsay Lusignea. Amy loves empowering people to take care of themselves through yoga, good nutrition, and having fun. She wants her classes to be playful, energetic, and inspirational. Yoga has caused her to see life, relationships, health, love, friendships, work, fun and everything she come in contact with in a new way. It has truly changed her!
Amy graduated from Missouri State University with BA in Marketing and Fashion Merchandising. She wanted to combine her two passions, so in November she started NamastAmy, a lifestyle brand, designed for the modern yogi. When Amy is not teaching, practicing yoga, or working on her clothing line, she loves to travel! She’s a kid at heart, and she gets super excited about things she is passionate about. She loves going to concerts, reading books, painting, going to dinner with friends, and hanging with her dog, Charles. Oh, and she loves pizza.
Ashley is the mother of four sons. She has been practicing yoga since 2001 and is a 200 hour Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher (RYT) through Collette Crawford at the Seattle Holistic Center. She has also studied extensively with Hala Khouri, creator of “off the mat and into the world”. Ashley has a Master’s degree in marriage and family therapy and is a certified Prenatal Yoga instructor and doula.
Beth is a Certified Yoga Instructor, RYT (200 Hour). Kriology Level 1-11 (Advanced Training). She received her training from the Temple of Kriya Yoga in Chicago. She has taught for over 8 years and has training in Hatha, Vinyasa as well as Ashtanga and Prenatal. Having a strong background in the fundamental elements of yoga postures, alignment and philosophy, she is able to incorporate this into every style of practice and class. Beth encourages every student to be mindful and aware of how they move their body and breath. She is newly certified in meditation through the Temple of Kriya in Chicago.
Carrah Q is a Spiritual Life Coach, yoga teacher, Lipstick Aficionado, mom, and self-taught Vegan Chef. She was trained in yoga by Eric Paskel and holds a Master’s Degree, with Distinction, in Philosophy/Ecumenics from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. She is the author of the 30 Day Total Spiritual Makeover Challenge™ and specializes in workshops on spirituality, providing spiritual makeovers, and faith blending. She was a speaker and workshop presenter at the 2015 Bhakti Fest Midwest in Madison, WI and is currently writing a book based on those workshops for people engaged in the Bhakti Yoga movement here in the USA. She began building her personal spiritual practice at age 17 and has studied Inter-Faith issues and World Religions for over 16 years while traveling to many countries to explore other faiths and cultures. Core to her rhythm is meditation, daily renewal of vows of love for herself and all beings and time in the kitchen before cranking up the tunes. She believes in rocking out, kicking ass, and getting real. She is passionate about religious education, conscious eating, and finding a “hot damn” lipstick to pucker up with. She is currently apprenticing under a local healer, to learn the ritual of LomiLomi, a Hawaiian shamanic self-realization technique.
Lisa grew up in small town Iowa and logged many years in corporate America before moving to Dubai in 2003. After living in the Middle East and traveling the world teaching yoga and studying Eastern practices, she found her true calling and began her own business teaching mindful practices for healthy living.
A Yoga Alliance registered instructor, Lisa completed yoga teacher training courses with renowned author and teacher, Max Strom, and the Yoga Arts organization. She has worked internationally teaching, developing training programs, facilitating teacher training courses, and leading retreats.
Mara has studied and practiced yoga since 1998. Her interest in the full and varied tradition of hatha yoga has always led her to pursue studies in many forms and lineages including ashtanga, vinyasa, Iyengar, Anusara and Bikram. She is an Internationally Registered Yoga Teacher, having received the Yoga Alliance 200-hour certification with a concentration in ashtanga yoga at Yoga Yoga Teacher Training in Austin, Texas. Aside from her teaching certification, Mara has attended teacher trainings with Shiva Rea and Baron Baptiste; and has had the good fortune of training under such master teachers as Chuck Miller and Maty Ezraty, Rodney Yee, Ana Forrest, Seane Corn, John Friend, John Shumacher, Aadil Palkivala, and Tias Little. Mara’s in-depth knowledge of various styles of hatha yoga, as well as a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, and the strengths and limitations of individual bodies, allows her to tailor each class to suit the participants. All students receive individual attention, as well as the respect and space they require to discover themselves through the practice of yoga.
Mandy has been exploring her passion for yoga for 4 years, studying Ashtanga with Kathleen Kastner for the past two. Her continuing education includes workshops and intensives with Bhavani Maki, Kim Schwartz, Bryan Kest, Govindas, Mark Blanchard, Doug Swenson and Saul David Raye. Most recently she completed an Ashtanga Second Series Intensive with Tim Miller at Mt Shasta. The balance and harmony it has brought her led to her desire to share the gift through teaching. Mandy views yoga as a spiritual, philosophical, and energetic journey that inspires greater understanding of, and connection to, the true self within.
Patricia is a 500 RYT and has taught yoga for 20 years. She began yoga in her teens studying with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. She co-directed one of Kansas City’s first yoga studios, The Yoga Center, and in 1999 founded the Yoga Gallery. She spent six weeks in India with Rotary International allowing her a chance to study the roots of yoga. Patricia is certified to teach the Bikram Yoga system and Vinyasa through Max Strom. Working for a chiropractor for 6 years afforded her skills to assist specific physical limitations and injuries. Her classes are a blend of styles (flow/Vinyasa) emphasizing patient breathing. This allows for an accessible, meditative practice designed to heal. Patricia’s love of yoga, breathing, and meditation stems from experiencing and witnessing what a dedicated practice can create; full spectrum health benefits, inside out.
Sumya Anani is a e-ryt500 hour yoga instructor, and recently completed her Kundalini Yoga teacher training. Her teaching is shaped by the chakric system. She is a co-heart for Sacred Centers, founded by leading chakra expert Anodea Judith. Her studies of the Yoga Sutras with Bhavani Maki and Rama Jyoti Vernon impact her life and teachings. She loves helping others find happiness and success as a Heal Your Life® teacher and LifeCoach, based on the teachings of Louise Hay. Sumya credits yoga’s teachings for her success as a 4x world champion boxer. She loves helping young athletes develop their own inner and outer game. Taylor has been practicing and exploring her passion for yoga for the past four years now and recently received her Registered Yoga Teacher Certification (200 hours). Her yoga practice has always given her internal peace and allowed her to quiet her mind even in her most stressful times. She strives to provide a safe space for individuals to challenge themselves mentally, physically, and emotionally. This will help students achieve a sense of balance, strength and serenity in their practice and lives.
Wendy is a yoga and fitness enthusiast. She has been practicing yoga since 2001 and is a trained 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. She uses her practice as a tool to enhance body alignment awareness and a sense of peace. Wendy is inspired by the rhythm of breath and by the space where strength meets ease. Her teaching style is strong, creative, fun and accessible to students of all levels. Wendy feels fulfilled when she challenges her students while keeping them safe so that they can practice for years to come.
