Director of Training

_OP_2073Faron is an Ortho-Kinetics® Elite Trainer with more than eight years in fitness management and 11 years in personal training. Beyond managing the Personal Training Department, Faron stays active as a trainer at Woodside. His focus is on corrective movement therapy, rehabilitation, weight loss and conditioning. 

Certifications: Ortho-Kinetics® Specialist, ACSM Health & Fitness Specialist, NASM Certified Personal Trainer, B.S. in Exercise Science from the University of Tennessee.

_OP_1622Lee is an Ortho-Kinetics® Trainer and Woodside Youth Sports Training Instructor. Lee has 10 years of fitness experience including two years coaching collegiate ultimate Frisbee and two years in personal training. His primary focus is on weight loss and conditioning, sports conditioning, and nutrition for fitness. 

Certifications: Ortho-Kinetics® Specialist, NASM Certified Personal Trainer, NASM Certified Exercise Specialist, B.A. in Art History and Hospitality Management from the University of Kansas.

Her goal is to improve overall wellness by encouraging lifestyle change and nutritional choices, effective programming that promotes fat loss, strength gain and injury prevention. 

Certifications: Ortho-Kinetics® Trainer, NCSA Certified Personal Trainer, B.S. in Exercise Science with a minor in nutrition from Missouri State University, nationally registered Emergency Medical Technician, Firefighter I & II.

Matt is an Ortho-Kinetics® Elite Trainer and Woodside Youth Sports Training Instructor, with three years of personal training, four years collegiate soccer and and one year performance training experience. His focus is on sports performance and conditioning, functional strength training and athletic development.

Cory McGee

Personal Trainer

Cory is a NSCA certified personal trainer with 10 years’ experience as a USAF Fitness Coach. 

He spent 20 years as an active duty Air Force firefighter, competed for 12 years in the Scott Firefighter Combat Challenge, and was a two-time National Champion Open Division.

Cory focuses on functional balance and strength, high intensity interval training, and athletic performance.

Kerstin Florman

Ortho-Kinetics® Professional Trainer

Kerstin is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer. She has been in the fitness industry for one year and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Kansas. Kerstin’s focus is in weight loss, strength training, toning, and mobility.

Personal Trainer

Laney is an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer with two years of experience in personal training, two years as an Insanity instructor, one year Spin instructor, and one year RIP TRX instructor. 

Laney’s focus is on improving functional movements, performance and strength with a safe, challenging and enjoyable approach.

Liz Sowers

Ortho-Kinetics® Professional Trainer

Liz is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer with a Master’s of Arts in Higher Education (Sports Administration) from UMKC. Liz has one year of experience in personal and group training and several years’ experience in athletics including a year of professional Rugby at the Olympic Training Center, six years in semi-professional football, and four years collegiate basketball. 

Liz’s primary focus is on sports performance and conditioning, strength and endurance training, and weight loss.

Sara is a AFAA Certified Personal Trainer with 1 year experience in personal training and four years in group exercise instruction.  She has been a swim coach for two years, instructed dance for two years, and played two years of collegiate ultimate Frisbee.

 Sara focuses on weight loss, functional movement, and strength and conditioning.
