OUR MISSION
The purpose of the Woodside Waves Swim Team is to provide our swimmers with a safe, educational, and enjoyable environment to develop water safety, stroke technique, and diving instruction.

Each swimmer and coach shall put forth effort into each practice and meet of the season and show quality team spirit. Coaches will strive to keep a strong link between the parents, swimmers, and the club to ensure a successful season. Swimmers will take part in both the competitive and non-competitive swimming experience to assist in their growing education of the pool environment and development of teamwork skills. Parents will be supportive of their swimmers by volunteering their time at team events and meets.

The swim season begins the first week of June and runs approximately six weeks. The team practices according to age, Monday – Friday. Swim team participants must be between the ages of 5 – 18. Swimmers compete within their age group and skill level in dual meets once a week against other clubs in the MoKan Swim League (www.mokanswimleague.org). Team Sign-ups are generally in early April.

In addition to competition, swimmers participate in many social activities: a Season Kick-off Pool Party, Oceans of Fun Day, Team Pictures, Bring your Parent to Practice Day, a team Swim-a-thon, Cheer Night, Movie Night at the pool and an End of Season Awards Banquet.
