Christopher Bell
General Manager

The Job. Chris does a little of everything. On any given day you might find him touring the grounds, picking up trash outside, listening to a member, coaching an employee, planning for the future of Woodside, or working in his office. While Woodside has many departments and capable people running them, he is the person who is responsible for each of them. So when things go right? They have done a wonderful job. And when things go wrong? He's the one who’s accountable to make certain it doesn’t happen again. Thankfully, all the great employees here at the club make that part easy.

The Practice. Chris has to do something every day. Usually cardio and weights, but yoga at least once a week, tennis or martial arts when he can, and he tries to get 1-2 group exercise classes in each week also.

 
 

 
Katie McLean
Assistant General Manager

The Job. As the Assistant General Manager, Katie is involved in many aspects of the Club from overseeing the workings of the business office, training and guiding staff, maintaining the website and the brand as well as working closely with the director’s of Fitness, Personal Training, Operations, Spa and Wellness. She’s been around Woodside since 1987 – when her family joined the Club.

The Practice. Exercise every day - cardio, weights, group exercise classes or chores. Clean eating. Regular massage. Gummy vitamins. Lots of water. Reading. Naps. And finding ways to smile.


 
Kevin Peterson
Membership Director

The Job. The Membership & Marketing Director is responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive membership development program, including new members, retention of current members and the solicitation of previous members. Kevin is responsible for managing the club’s annual marketing budget, maximizing the return on the marketing expenses by evaluating, choosing, and designing the best types of advertising.

The Practice. Kevin’s favorite way to stay healthy is to act like a kid and play sports! He prefers to play tennis and basketball for exercise at Woodside, but he also enjoys playing football and kickball with his boys, and golf with his wife.


 
Dr. Amanda Chaney, N.D. 
Wellness Director

The Job. As a naturopathic doctor and the Wellness Director, Dr. Chaney empowers individuals to take responsibility for their health and helps to remove the obstacles that prevent them from achieving optimum wellness. The naturopath focuses on solutions that work with your body, not against it. The only side effect? A healthier, happier you.

The Practice. Dr. Chaney's favorite ways to stay healthy have been her commitment to vitamins & homemade smoothies in her diet and grazing throughout the day on healthy foods.


faron mcneal 

Personal Training Director

The Job. The Personal Training Director is responsible for overseeing the day to day budgetary and administrative duties of the PT department as well as building and maintaining an elite T.E.A.M. of Personal Trainers. This includes creating and upholding all standards of excellence and continuing education required of each personal trainer, designing appropriate training programs and implementation of club policies to maintain high standards within the department.

The Practice. When it comes to exercise, Faron gets fired up about combining functional and traditional resistance training and enjoys spin classes. As a native to the Appalachian Mountains and Tennessee hills, he naturally gets a thrill mountain biking.


 
ANNIE PAZDER
Group Exercise & Spin Director

The Job.  As Director of Group Exercise & Spin, Annie keeps very busy, but her incredibly knowledgeable, reliable and professional staff make the job of doing what she loves easy. She is responsible for keeping up with the hottest fitness trends and aligning these trends with the culture and member base at Woodside. She also teaches many of the group exercise classes at Woodside and strives to set the Gold Standard example of teaching group exercise for the other instructors.

The Practice. Having been once overweight herself, Annie now not only exercises but she eats clean every day. She believes we should eat to live and not live to eat. At this point in her life, Annie prides herself on not just talking the talk, but walking the walk, but she understands how incredibly overwhelming and difficult one's wellness journey can be.  


 
David Freeland
Operations Manager and Membership Sales

The Job. As Operations Manager, David’s primary responsibilities include managing & motivating employees at both front desks and monitoring daily operations to ensure functionality of all weight-training and cardio equipment. David ensures proper appearance, operation and maintenance of Woodside and partners with other members of management to strive for success.

The Practice. David’s favorite way to stay healthy is to spend time on the bike in the gym and visit the earthbar daily for a liver cleanse juice.


 
Rod Zerni
Tennis Director

The Job. As Tennis Director at Woodside, Rod is responsible for programming tennis clinics, men’s and women’s leagues and social mixers for members. Rod also makes sure that Woodside members are current with latest teaching techniques. He sees the importance of a healthy living, having played professional tennis himself, thru nutrition, exercise and mental happiness. Rod has been the Tennis Director and a teaching professional at Woodside the last 16 years. He has been a professional tennis instructor for 21 years.

The Practice. Rod’s favorite way to stay healthy is to consciously practice balance is his life – especially with work and with his family.


 
Scott Carr
Food & Beverage Director

The Job. Scott has been the Food & Beverage Director at Woodside for the last 6 years. He enjoys working for the members and their guests by planning small functions, parties & business meetings. He oversees the bar staff, service staff in the summers and has been working diligently to deliver the newest concept at Woodside, the earthbar. He has worked in food & beverage for the last 25 years and loves working in Woodside’s healthy environment.

The Practice. Scott enjoys playing tennis and basketball as well as working out at the Club. He is always up for a round of disc golf.


 
DANA GOODALE
Pilates & Yoga Director

The Job. Dana maintains the Pilates and Yoga department, runs Pilates small groups and gives private sessions as well as teaches group exercise classes. Dana works to bring new programming and industry trends to our Woodside members. She has been with Woodside since 2002, starting as the only Pilates instructor and one of three Yoga instructors. Dana is happy to work with the members to create a mind and body program they love.

The Practice. Dana can't sit still for long.  She loves to do something different every day.  Teaching Pilates, Yoga, Spin, BodyPump, running outside, and playing with her son keeps her busy and active.


 
Caroline Perdomo, LE
Spa Director

The Job. As Spa director, Caroline oversees all areas of the Spa at Woodside including the performance of a well-trained, knowledgeable staff, demand and professionalism of spa services and the sanitation and well-being of our Spa and members. Caroline strives to sustain a superior facility and exceptional customer service.
